America's Quilting History - History and culture of quilting in the United States. Contains links to other sites about quilt history, quilt patterns, and other resources.

Circlemakers - This visually stimulating site is dedicated to the art of crop circlemaking. Crop circles, or elaborately patterned flattened areas appearing overnight in crop fields, have been found all over the world. Many explanations have been set forth to explain the phenomenon. This site belongs to a group of artists who claim circlemaking as their own nocturnal pastime. The site include a beginner's guide to creating your very own crop cirle.

Craftsman Perspective - A good site both for people new to the arts and crafts movement and those familiar with it. Includes a history of the movement from England to America. It covers American architecture from different regions and discusses furnishings and pottery. Resources include lists of books, dealers, makers, and links to other sites.

Wool Works: The Online Knitting Compendium - Wool Works contains "more than 180 patterns for handknitted sweaters, socks, hats, scarves, baby clothes, afghans, and other miscellaneous projects." Marilyn's Imagination Factory A fun and educational site for kids, parents, and teachers, this site shares "creative ways to recycle by making art." Candy Cane Mouse Very cute! The directions call for a razor to make slits in the felt for ears, but obviously you will either want to cut these beforehand, or arrange some other method, such as glue, for attaching ears.
Colour, Cut and Fold Village Easy to make paper houses! Print black and white outlines on regular paper on your printer. Ten houses, a library and seven stores, plus a blank house and store for you to design, all to colour, cut out, fold and tape (or glue or staple). Print as many of each building as you want for your village. You can arrange different streets, decide on a "downtown", answer questions about how towns grow, or just have fun colouring and assembling the houses. Houses include a rose-covered cottage, a California Craftsman house and a Colonial house. Directions are included.

Simple Printmaking (Adult supervision needed) The instructions are given in detail. Look this over a day or two before you plan to use it. You may need to shop, or gather together those trash items that you save for crafts. Everyone can get into the act.
