FUN WITH PAPER RESOURCES
WELCOME TO THE DIOCESE OF MARBEL, PHILIPPINES

Toddler Girl Paperdolls (All ages) - Print, colour and cut out this adorable paperdoll. At Toddler Boy Paperdolls you don't have to do any colouring. Just choose, click and print these little toddler boy paperdolls to play with.

Paperdolls of the World - This site has links to paperdolls from Japan, Kenya, India, America, and a native American. They can be printed and mounted on lightweight cardboard for hours of great play.

Beautiful Art Butterflies - Make tissue paper butterflies to hang in the window to brighten your room or the room of a homebound child. Grandmothers love these, too.  All of the supplies are listed and the directions are easy to follow.

Paper Capers - Here's a site you will want to visit when it's cold and icky and you can't go outside. The Paper Capers site lists 14 things you can make with paper.

The Art Cat Paperdolls (Ages 3-8) - This is a cool website about Art Cat, and his dog Wolfie. Art Cat is a paper doll. If you have a printer, you can print Art Cat, his clothes, and Wolfie! And, if you don't have a colour printer, you can colour the clothes anyway you like.

At the Homemade Newspaper Kite Plans website you can learn how to make kites out of newspapers. Roll up, roll up to the imaginatively named Big Wind Kite Factory, where they promise to have 20 kids making a kite each in 20 minutes. The people at the real kite factory on the island of Molokai in Hawaii have actually measured the time it takes to make kites according to their instructions, which are freely available at this page. The instructions seem to be easy enough to follow, using readily available materials. A slightly dubious scanned in diagram accompanies the text instructions, to make sure there's no confusion. Also included is a factory tour invitation for the next time you're in Hawaii.

Kites and Kite Flying - Damien du Toit has created a great kite site with pages on the history of kites, modern kites, kite flying tips, a picture gallery, and links to other kite sites.

Long-tailed kites from Japan - Kites are important in many cultures around the world; in Japan, kites enjoy a prominent place in New Year's Day celebrations. Learn a bit more here, along with instructions on making a long-tailed kite.

Tetrahedron Kites - Instructions and photos are included. Tissue paper and straws form the frame. Have fun testing these ones out!

How to make a Head Stick Kite - And on to the more complicated designs! This one is more of a challenge.

Kite Tricks - Here you'll find an enormous amount of kite tricks to try, like 2 Wheel Drive, or Kick Turn, or French Toast... turn 'em loose

Paper Mache Penguins - Most young children are fascinated by penguins. Check this site out.

Paper Mache Farm Animal Sculptures - Remember that this can be a messy lot!

Paper Mache Bracelets - Okay, this one might not be for the boys, but girls will love it.

Turtle Eggs and Walnut Turtles - This paper mache and walnut art project is very cute.

Paper Mache Bowl - These bowls are beautiful! If you can't readily find the wallpaper paste, you can make a simple paste that works just as well, using only flour and water, and mixing it to the right consistency.

Paper Mache Tray - This project is listed as a Mother's Day activity/gift, but how about a few little alterations in design, and making it for father's day instead? Find and cut out pictures of fish, or a farm, or even pipes or horses - you get the picture!
