The Art Cat Paperdolls (Ages 3-8)
-
This is a cool website about Art Cat, and his dog Wolfie. Art Cat is a
paper doll. If you have a printer, you can print Art Cat, his clothes,
and Wolfie! And, if you don't have a colour printer, you can colour
the clothes
anyway you like.
At the Homemade
Newspaper Kite Plans website you can learn how to make kites
out of newspapers. Roll up, roll up to the imaginatively named
Big Wind
Kite Factory, where they promise to have 20 kids making a kite
each in 20 minutes. The people at the real kite factory on the island
of Molokai in Hawaii have actually measured the time it takes to make
kites according to their instructions, which are freely available at
this page. The instructions seem to be easy enough to follow, using
readily available materials. A slightly dubious scanned in diagram
accompanies the text instructions, to make sure there's no confusion.
Also included is a factory tour invitation for the next time you're in
Hawaii.
Kites and
Kite Flying -
Damien du Toit has created a great kite site with pages on the history
of kites, modern kites, kite flying tips, a picture gallery, and links
to other kite sites.

paste, you can make a simple paste that works just as well, using only

a few little alterations in design, and making it for father's day
instead? Find and cut out pictures of fish, or a farm, or even pipes
or horses - you get the picture!
