Bureau of the Census  - The Census Bureau site will lead you to the full range of popular and obscure Census data series. Scope is worldwide, regional and national. Annotations accompany most links. Print sources should be available in most academic libraries and large public libraries. This site is excellent, with well-chosen websites and print resources, which are especially useful.

Great site not only for the breadth and quality of its offerings but also for its suggestions on how best to conduct research.
