HISTORY OF THE CFC-MARBEL 

1965-1969 - Prelature Report 

1.       Catechetical Instruction has always been a priority in the Church and in the Prelature.

2.       Catechetical instruction for children in the public schools in 12 parishes and 2 missions.

3.       Adult Education Programs: Cursillo then Samaria-Cursillo, SAC Seminars (Cooperatives), Encounters

4.       5 Spiritual Centers (Banga, Marbel, Polo­molok, Dadiangas, Kiamba)  
 

Sept. 7, 1970 - 1st meeting was called by the Catechetical Commission of the Prelature of Marbel, at Banga (Fr. Damian, Lawrence, Raymond, Edward)

Purpose: To coordinate and facilitate the whole catecheti­cal program of the Prelature of Marbel. Main priority: Adult catechesis. They decided to meet again Oct. 6, 1970.

Oct. 6, 1970 - 1st Catechetical Seminar was held in the Prelature of Marbel – by Sr. Joseph Marie Victoriano, OND (on Adult Catechesis)

Oct. 8, 1970 - Salud Canta at MOL (second to Luz Joves)

May 3, 1971 - Luzviminda Joves at MOL received Missio Canonica

May 4, 1971 - 6 students were recommended to study at Lumen Christi Catecheti­cal Formation Center, Our Lady of Loreto College, Manila

June 11, 1971 - letter to Salud Canta, MOL, 12 parishes, 2 missions, 538 catechists.

June 21, 1971 - Agreement with MOL scholars to work for Prelature

June 24, 1971 - Fr. Calle's Seminar, OLPH Seminary, 67 particip­ants. (P2.00 registration)

Aug. 17, 1971 - Sr. Mary Celeste, SPC - Assn. of Volunteer Cate­chists of the Allah Valley (Banga, Surallah, Norala)

Nov. 12, 1971 data: to MOL scholars: Beatriz Didulo, Mellie Castaneda, Raquel Penafiel, Editha Carmen, Evelyn Pinol, Eda Caballero, Fe Cardino. (Oct. 28, 1971 letter)

Nov. 24, 1971 - letter of Regina Cobrador, Angelina Badilles, Naty Esquivel, Yolanda Carbon at Our Lady of Loreto College, Manila

March 29, 1972 - implementation of CCP in schools

Diocesan staff: 1 brother, 3 sisters, 1 layman, a laywoman (proposed only)

Sr. Josephine Marie, SPC - former religion coordina­tor of ND Surala became full time diocesan CCP staff

April 1972 - Fr. Raymond, applied CCP method to BLS (barrio leadership seminar)

Sept. 1972 - Sr. Josefina, SPC, working with Fr. Raymond Pulvino, CP. at Diocesan Office of the CCP as Coordinator.
